Founded in 1984, Abex Power began as a dedicated distributor of power transmission equipment. Over the year, we’ve grown into the North West’s largest independent supplier, expanding our range to include bearings, drives, motors, gearboxes, fixings, tools, safety wear, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

The Beginning

Abex Power Components was formed as a dedicated distributor of power transmission equipment, supplying essential mechanical components to engineering and industrial businesses across the North West.

1989

The Expansion

In 1989 we moved to a larger site, allowing us to significantly expand our stockholding and product range. This development established Abex as one of the largest independent suppliers in the region, stocking a wide range of:

The Hydraulics & Pneumatics

2013 marked another important step with the addition of hydraulics and pneumatics to our product range.

We also introduced our hydraulic hose assembly service, allowing customers to have hoses made while they wait — helping minimise downtime and keep machinery running.
